Trail runs the perimeter of Gray's Lake and goes over the lighted pedestrian bridge. The trail experiences heavy pedestrian traffic (some with leashed pets) so slow biking is encouraged.
In Gray's Lake park, south of downtown Des Moines.
Parking for Gray's Lake, off of Fleur Drive.
On April 28, 1970 Gray’s Lake was dedicated as a city park. In 1998, David and Elizabeth Kruidenier came forward with a vision and pledge of $1.5 million dollars for a trail to be made around the lake. Thus the trail is called the Kruidenier trail.
