Based in Ankeny, BIKEIOWA’s foundation is its Event Calendar, the largest and most detailed cycling event listing in Iowa. We ensure ride and event details are accurate and accessible, so you don’t have to search multiple sources to plan your next adventure.

Meet Scott – Founder & Lead Mule
Hey, I’m Scott, the cyclist, web developer, and driving force behind BIKEIOWA. I’ve been pedaling Iowa roads, trails, and backroads for years—racing, touring, and exploring every inch of this great state.
BIKEIOWA started in 2001 as a simple ride listing because, back then, the only way to hear about rides was through bulletin boards, word-of-mouth, or paper newsletters. Long before smartphones and social media, I built a digital space to connect Iowa cyclists. What began as a basic website has grown into the Midwest’s most extensive cycling resource.
Today, BIKEIOWA LLC operates under my leadership, with the site continuing to evolve thanks to the contributions of our dedicated community. After all these years, we still pour our hearts into BIKEIOWA morning, noon and night — because we believe in this project and its potential to make cycling in Iowa better.
