Trail Ride

Distance - 19 miles

On Saturday, April 22, join Des Moines Parks and Recreation and Mayor Frank Cownie for the 2023 Mayor's Annual Ride!

Funds raised by this annual tradition are used to support the installation of Fix-It Stations and other improvement projects along our trails.

Route

The 19-Mile Bike Ride will start at Principal Park (1 Line Drive) and will go Lake to Lake - traveling from Gray's Lake to Easter Lake prior to ending back at the stadium.

Adults = $35.00/$50.00 on-site
Youth = $5 for ages 5 -18 years
Children 4 and under are free

The registration fee for adults includes a t-shirt, an entry to win a free bike, refreshments at a rest stop along the route, and good company. The registration fee for youth does not include a t-shirt.

MARR registration (Adult Ride registration) automatically enters each participant registering for the Mayor’s Annual Ride Drawing. On April 22, 2023, two random drawings from among all eligible entries received will be conducted under the supervision of the City of Des Moines to award the prizes of: A Bike World Giant Contend 3 bike with an estimated retail value of $590 or a Bike World Liv Alight 3 bike with an estimated retail value of $590. For full rules, click here: 2023 Bike Drawing.
