RAGBRAI reveals the logo for the 2024 ride ahead of registration launching on November 15, 2023.

“The spirit of this ride is built around the people and communities of Iowa,” said Matt Phippen, RAGBRAI ride director. “They’ve made this ride world class for fifty years and inspire us every day in the work we do to produce this event.”

As riders rode across the state in 2023, on one of the hottest rides on record, Iowans opened their yards, garden hoses, shade trees, porches, rocking chairs, homes, and hearts to the almost 30,000 registered riders.

Just outside of Ames, a homeowner’s shade tree quickly grew into a place for riders from Washington State to rest their heads. Her garden hose a refuge from the piercing summer heat and their shared meal an offering that turned complete strangers into lifelong friends. The homeowner quoted as saying, “I am grateful this year’s bikers were looking for a shade tree! And for me – they now provide the warmth of their friendship.”

For the past fifty years, the people of Iowa, in ways big and small, have welcomed nearly half a million riders from across the world into their lives, and it’s those stories that serve as the inspiration for this year’s logo. RAGBRAI LI is Home Sweet Home – no matter where you’re from.
