Iowa Bicycle Summit

[January 26 - Iowa Events Center]
The 2018 Iowa Bicycle Summit is an annual conference providing education on the latest bicycle facilities, technology, and programming. Now in its 12th year, the Iowa Bicycle Summit brings national speakers to Iowa to share bicycle facility successes and best practices from around the United States. Many of the lessons learned at the Summit have manifested into trail facilities and safety.

This year's summit sessions include:

Iowa Bike Expo

[January 27 - Iowa Events Center - Hy Vee Hall]
Iowa Bike Expo is one of the biggest one-day bike shows in the Midwest. This event hosts over 5,000 people shopping for destinations, gear, bikes, and more. Mark your calendars and come from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

This event is FREE and open to the public.

If you are looking for bicycle equipment, destinations, events, and more this is the event you want to attend. There will be trail, event, and equipment exhibitors from all over the country. There will also be educational seminars helping you get in touch with bike advocacy, find the latest consumer trends, and learn about new places to ride.

[BIKEIOWA Note: This is well worth coming down. There are so many cool vendors from bike shops to trails, to events, apparel, staycations and plenty other eye-candy and ways to stay fit. If you are coming for the RAGBRAI Announcement Party, you best come early and check out the expo too!]

RAGBRAI Route Announcement Party

[January 27 - Iowa Events Center]
Wanna party in January like it is July? Attend the RAGBRAI Route Announcement Party on January 27th at the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines. The evening will feature live music from the Pork Tornadoes.

Yep - this is where you will find out first-hand what the 2018 RAGBRAI XLVI Route will be!
Registration is still open.

Live and Silent Auctions, "Guess the Route" Raffles, Free Beer + cash bar and a Special Commemorative Souvenir Gift for all who attend.
