Bike to Work, Bike after work, Bike before Work - just get out and enjoy your neighborhood on two wheels!

May 2012 marks the 10th anniversary that BIKEIOWA.com started to promote Bike To Work Day in Iowa. We've seen it grow from a few hundred to a few thousand participants. We've had a great time promoting various events, getting big corporations and smaller companies to participate, awarding prizing and getting folks onto their bicycles! We loved every minute of it! But we have full time jobs, and could not devote the time needed to keep the momentum going. Luckily there are plenty of organizations and volunteers around the state who are organizing similar events!

This year, BIKEIOWA.com will not host it's own registration, but instead point you to the national, statewide and/or local programs in your area.

When is Bike to Work Week and Day?

The League of American Bicyclists is the national sponsor of Bike Month, and this year Bike to Work Week is May 14-18 and Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 18.

When is Bike to School Day?

The inaugural Bike to School Day is May 9, 2012. Learn more, register or find an event in your area here.

  • Nationally: Check the Bike Month events section often to see what Bike Month and Bike to Work Week events are going on in your community. Also, post your area, club, business or school's Bike Month events on our Web site for free! Post or find Bike Month events today
