Party Ride

Distance - Approx. 18 miles total distance, with stops for sushi about once per hour.

You are invited to join us in the (first annual?) Kees Camp "Ride and a Roll" -- a unique gastronomic biking excursion to three of Des Moines' finest sushi emporiums! We'll be riding a triangulated route through the Des Moines bike trail system to restaurants in West Des Moines, downtown Des Moines, and Urbandale, stopping at each to enjoy an assortment of delicious sushi rolls. Don't miss this inaugural opportunity to join in with what will hopefully become a yearly Des Moines classic biking event!

IMPORTANT: If you will be joining us, please RSVP as soon as possible to Jeannette or Jen at the host/sponsor contact information provided below. We will be calling ahead to the restaurants with a headcount, so they can have the proper amount of sushi prepared for us and ready to go when we arrive.

Route

Route will begin and end at Kees Camp, 1751 8th St #300, West Des Moines (in the Governor's Square complex). Route will run from Kees Camp to Sakura Sushi (1960 Grand Ave #11, West Des Moines), then to Wasabi Tao (400 Walnut Ave., downtown Des Moines), and finally to Appare Japanese Steakhouse (3769 86th St, Urbandale) before returning to Kees Camp. (Kees Camp is right across the street from the Waterfront Seafood Market, so if people are still up for more sushi, there's an opportunity for a fourth round of rolls at the conclusion of the ride).

Registration

Cost to participate is $30, which covers the cost of the sushi at each stop. Each rider is responsible for the cost of their own beverages, if desired.
