Party Ride

Distance - 40 miles or 20 miles if you only ride one way! Your choice. Transportation is up to you.

This is the 6th year for this ride! Yes, we were able to ride in 2020!

Nancy & Ken Carlson have organized this charity ride to raise funds and awareness for their son's disability, Fragile X Syndrome.

Nancy is a board member of the parent led National Fragile X Foundation, Heartland Chapter which serves families in Iowa and South Dakota.

This all volunteer group is part of the National Fragile X Foundation's Chapter network . It serves as a resource for professionals and parents. Through fundraisers, educational seminars and charitable donations, the group provides support for advocacy efforts for Fragile X causes and research and provides financial resources for families to access Fragile X clinics.

Route

NEW ROUTE DUE TO TRAIL CLOSURE! Registration and packet pickup is 8:30 am-9:15 am at GoodSons Food & Spirits, 2815 Beaver Ave, Des Moines. Registration and packet pickup will also be available at Kyle's Bikes by Mickey's Irish Pub in Waukee from 11am-noon.  (This is for those that want less miles.) Walk ups are welcome. This ride is primarily on trails with some limited road riding.  Goodsons in Beaverdale will be open in the morning for those that want to start with beverages. Then continue to ride to Mickey's Irish Pub, 50 SE Laurel in Waukee for lunch. We will be riding to The Handlebar in Dallas Center, before returning to Waukee and heading to  515 Brewing Co at 7700 University Ave, Clive before ending back at GoodSons Food & Spirit, 2815 Beaver Ave, Des Moines.  The ride will end between 4pm - 5pm. Raffle tickets will also be available. The top fundraiser will receive a prize!

$30 Registration (by June 3)

Walk ups - $35 Registration.

includes 1 FREE beer at 515 Brewing Co, 1 FREE beer at Exile Brewing Co, drink and food specials and a t-shirt (cut off 2 weeks prior), plus just great company! Even though we can no longer stop at Exile Brewing Co in downtown Des Moines that day, they will still honor the drink ticket. So you can visit on another day and have a fabulous meal there!
