Tucked away in the DesMoines river valley in Estherville, Iowa is one of the most challenging single track mtb trails you will find anywhere in Iowa. This trail has steep, technical climbs that take you above the creek that runs through the park and fast singletrack that runs along the basin. Because there are ridges on either side of the creek, and trails on either side, I equate it to a small canyon. It is a very scenic park and you are likely to see deer, turkey, squirrels and wildlife abound. This trail is sparsely used with only an occasional equestrian or day hiker, so be cautious and courteous if you happen to approach either.
