At an event at Raygun Thursday, RAGBRAI honored the life and legacy of the man that started the great bicycle ride across Iowa.
John Karras passed away in November.
Thursday's event at Raygun in Cedar Rapids served up beverages from Big Grove, the makers of the official beer of the ride, as well as several speakers.
Donations Thursday evening are going to the Keep Iowa Beautiful Karras Cart Program, getting bike clubs utility trailers to help keep trails clean.
