The Iowa State Patrol reported Sunday that an Iowa man was killed as he rode his bike near the town of Lenox, Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol said Gerald O. Williams, 58, was riding his
bicycle on Highway J10 east of Lenox, Iowa on Saturday evening (June 22nd) around
9:15 PM when he was struck by a motor vehicle and sustained fatal
injuries.
On Sunday, Williams was called in as a missing person and was later
located by search volunteers. Williams was pronounced dead at the
accident scene.
The vehicle that struck Williams was located and an investigation is
underway. The driver was not named by the Iowa State Patrol.
