We've created a new Ride of Silence page to track those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.

Be it cyclists who have been injured or killed on Iowa's roadways, or Iowans who have been killed cycling elsewhere in the USA or another country.

Each year, several "Rides of Silences" are held in Iowa during May. Watch the calendar for specific details. The 2013 ROS dates are May 15th.

The Ride of Silence is to HONOR and pay respect to those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. It exists also To RAISE AWARENESS that we are here and we have a legal right to ride on the roads. Please SHARE THE ROAD.

View the complete Ride of Silence page HERE. We want to make sure we have everyone accounted for so we can recognize them on the site as well as at the rides.

You can navigate to this page from the Community main menu , then "Iowans you should know". The Ride of Silence link is located there.

This data will remain there permanently and updated as often as it needs to be (hopefully not too often!).

Ride of Silence Coordinators: There is export capabilities to PDF, CSV and Excel. You can also Group the data by Year, City and Status.

We will allow members to Add to the list soon.
In the meantime, if you see someone that is missing or inaccurate info, email Biker@BIKEIOWA.com and we will update the list.
