As the Autumn leaves are beginning to turn, the weather is finally cooling off, the Hawkeyes have resumed losing games they shouldn't, and we generally are taking a little more relaxed approach to our riding...Mullet Classic season is upon us.

According to my sources, the course couldn't be in better shape. After years of flooding, tornadic activity, typhoon and other natural catastrophe-type events, we've got a blistering fast, yet beginner-friendly course ready to go. Some fast and flat stretches, singletrack that will put an ear-to-ear grin on your face, and climbs that will slap it right back off, young man. Sounds about right.

Then of course there's the end of season potluck and party. Family friendly, but fun enough you may want to give yourself an out for work Monday morning. Lots of food, plenty of beverage, and endless good friends to chat with (again, especially if you bring some of your own).

So take my advice and register now.

You'll want in on the action on the Mullet schwag this year, and you only get it free with your registration if you pre-register online. And yes, the weather will be perfect again this year.

Eastern Iowa folks and Nebraska folks, we'd love if you and the kids could make it this year. If not, well, we understand. No really, we get it. It's just that it's been too long, and well, we miss you... All the Central Iowa people will be here, and we'd love to host you. Spread the word, will you please?
