Flooding Closes More DM Area Trails

Des Moines, IA The City of Des Moines Park and Recreation Department announced Monday that it has closed more trails due to flooding. 1. Neal Smith Trail is closed from Saylor Road to Euclid Avenue 2. Inter-Urban Trail is closed east of Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy and Urbandale Avenue 3. Trestle to Trestle Trail is closed under the Euclid Ave Bridge and box culvert under Beaver Ave along the Trestle to Trestle Trail is closed due to high water. 4. Trestle to Trestle Trail is closed at NW Lower Beaver Road and NW Beaver Drive 5. Walnut Creek Trail is closed from 63rd St and Grand Ave to Center St , and south of North Valley Drive 6. Bill Riley Trail is closed from Ashworth Pool to Water Works Park 7. Meredith Trail is closed from SW 16th and Martin Luther King to Fleur Drive 8. Gay Lea Wilson Trail is closed 9. Neal Smith Trail is closed from Saylor Road to 6th Avenue
