Cass County Conservation, Nishna Valley Trails, and Atlantic Parks & Recreation hosted a National Trails Day event at Schildberg Recreation Area Saturday, June 1.
The Atlantic Kiwanis served grilled burgers and hotdogs, watermelon, and drinks for a free-will donation.
Jon Jordan led a 15-mile bike ride out to the T-Bone Trail’s 80-71 trailhead (64968 Boston Rd. Atlantic) and back. Information on area trails and outdoor recreation activities was shared, and the riders were able to view the recently-completed repairs to the trail and bridge approaches.
