t was the 40th Snake Alley Criterium and riders and fans saw plenty of colorful jerseys and many red T-shirts.
Red was the official color for the 40th celebration and was the prominent color in the shirt and promotional design for the 2024 event.
Also, it fits with the red bricks that are stacked in Snake Alley and the brick given to each winner of their particular criterium race.
“It’s the place to be at the top of the snake,” said Jonathan Hendricks, of Minneapolis, who waited there to douse his son, Morgan, with water to cool off after the grueling alley climb.
“Great races,” said Hendricks about the event. “My son loves them.”
