- DES MOINES METRO AREA - September 11th 2007 DART bike rack usage hits an all-time high for the second consecutive month! The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) bus bike rack usage hit an all-time high in August 2007!! 3,202 uses were recorded for the month! The previous high for monthly use was 2,641 in July 2007. The DART bus racks were installed in October of 2005.
