GEAR UP IN 2004

A BIG THANKS to those who have coordinated, promoted and attended rides in 2003! You, as an individual (well.. at least most of you anyway! ha!), makes Iowa Cycling what it is today!
You've seen BIKEIOWA grow throughout the year to encompass more cycling genres and increased advocacy toward trails, commuting and cycling awareness as a whole. It has been a banner year! A LOT of work, but worth it!

Look what BIKEIOWA got for the holidays! A BRAND NEW LOOK...!!
  • It's cleaner
  • It's more user friendly
  • It's more interactive
  • It's faster
Changes constantly occur to make BIKEIOWA easy to use, interactive and informative with a touch of off the wall dry humor! (some people get it... others don't... oh well!)
STATS
  • Over 235 rides were posted this year compared to 130 in 2002!
  • Over 1400 cyclists receive the biweekly Ride Reminder
  • There are now over 5000 pictures in the Ride galleries
  • BIKEIOWA now gets over 5500 unique hits per week from cyclists all over the world
SPONSORSHIP BIKEIOWA needs more sponsors from the Bike Shops, and other businesses who want to "Support the Sport" If you or the company you work for would like to be a sponsor BIKEIOWA in 2004, please get more information HERE All monies received via sponsorship and advertising are used for cycling awareness, promotions and site expenses.
2004 goals:
  • Promote Iowa Rides and Races for all cyclists
  • Increase trails awareness and usage
  • Continue to share information regarding all types of cycling in Iowa.
  • Continue to expand BIKEIOWA participation
  • Increase mtn bike/road racer site participation
  • Have more fun on the site
  • Develop more maps for trails and favorite training routes
  • Obtain more BIKEIOWA sponsorship and advertising
  • Obtain more interactive user input for News and Feature articles
  • Develop and Promote Bike To Work Day Activities in May 2004
