Saint Patrick's Day is one of cyclist's favorite holidays to celebrate... but... it wasn't always this way...

St. Patty's Day celebrations were religious holidays and bars event remain closed - that is until about 40 years ago when the Americans turned the day into the celebration in which we know it today - parades, corned beef and cabbage, everything green.

BIKEIOWA has several Irish Pubs who support us and there are several rides, parades and celebrations happening over the next TWO weeks.

St. Patrick's Day is always on March 17th and is known as the feast day of the patron saint of Ireland.

CELEBRATIONS

SAT - March 11th 2023

The 2-week long celebration starts this Saturday with several St. Patrick's Day themed rides.

SPERM 2023

The legendary SPERM party continues...15 + years of Shenanigans!
Meet at 10:00am The Ridgemont in Windsor Heights will get the party started then head to University Tap/515 Brewing then El Bait Shop/High Life Lounge then to Carls Place to end the day!

Sully's Wild Irish Ride!

GEAR up for St. Patrick's Day! Wear your best St Pats outfit and let’s ride! Prizes for Best Dressed Male & Female! Pictures at 12:30 at Sully's, Voting ends at 2:30 at Ducktail. This ride benefits Cycle Out Sickness.

This ride is SO popular, it was posted twice!

26th ANNUAL SHAMROCK RIDE - DYERSVILLE, IA

Dyersville is known for their St. Patty's Day Celebration and this ride will be the 26th annual!
This ride will start at The Palace Saloon, then ride to the Fuse Bar, then Textile Brewing Company.

There is " No Official Start Time" and will travel to Petersburg . The route is ridden at your own pace for all ages to enjoy.

This day is the true St. Patrick's Day. Start off the day with a parade and then check out the local Irish Pub's activities and celebrations.

Giveaways and free koozies, green beer and kitchen will be open serving Burgers and Brats all day/night.
Corned Beef and Cabbage will be served starting at 11am until it’s gone!
Please be responsible and don’t drink and drive. There will be plenty of Cabs and Ubers out.
