The Longest Day is a team event to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association®. Held annually on the summer solstice, the duration of this sunrise-to-sunset event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers. Teams are encouraged to create their own experience as they fundraise and participate in an activity they love to honor someone facing the disease. And we are planning the 1st Annual "Bikes Behind Brains" ride from Hiawatha to Ely and back to honor all of our friends and loved ones who have or are suffering from Alzheimer's. We're looking forward to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research by riding from 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday June 20th, 2015. It will be a great ride for an even better cause, so please come join us!

Route

Starting at the Cedar Valley Nature Trail (Boyson Rd) in Hiawatha at 9:00 AM, heading South on the trail to Odie's in Ely, then back North on the trail to the Sag Wagon on Cedar Lake, ending at 6:00 PM. There will be several stops along the way, which is outlined on the attached flyer.

Registration

Free to ride, with many opportunities to donate to the Alzheimer's Association. We'll be selling raffle tickets for a variety of fun prizes, including a Grand Prize $500 gift certificate to Hall Bicycle in Cedar Rapids!
