Distance - 60, 80, 100

The Courage Ride is celebrating its tenth year by adding three gravel routes to this popular ride. Routes will be 100K, 82 or 103 miles. All but a handful of miles will be gravel and it includes a 3-4 mile section of "B" level road east of North English. It shares all the rest stops with t he regular paved road routes. Over a mile of elevation gain over mostly rolling terrain of the Amish countryside near Kalona, Hills and North English -- just 15 minutes southwest of Iowa City. Proceeds from the Courage Ride help fund sarcoma cancer research at Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Last year the ride donated $44,000.
