On
June 1st and 2nd riders will ride 90 miles in two days
through Jones and Jackson County and experience the beauty and adventure of the
Grant Wood Scenic Byway!
Riders
will begin in Stone City in Jones County and end a day later in Bellevue. The
route has been planned for maximum roadside appeal and minimum traffic volume
on rural roads that parallel the Grant Wood Scenic Byway route.
The
Grant Wood Scenic Byway Board invites riders of all experience levels and ages
on this beautiful tour of the countryside that inspired famous artist Grant
Wood.
There
will be sag wagon and mechanical support, luggage and shuttle transport, water
bottle for early registration, and dinner and camping accommodations Saturday
night.

Bike Drop Off begins at 6:00am
in Stone City at the General Store on Saturday, June 1st. Registration for those utilizing the shuttle
service begins at 7:00am Saturday at the Bellevue Community
Center—Shuttle leaves at 8:00am. Registration for all others
starts at 8:00am at the Stone City General Store. Ride starts at 10:00am at the
Stone City General Store!
