The Nishna Valley Trails
association invites the public to a “Bike/Trails Expo” to be held at the Cass
County Community Center in Atlantic on Monday, April 29, 2013. Doors will open at 6 p.m. to allow time for
browsing displays, enjoying refreshments, and registering for door prizes.
The program will begin at 7
p.m. Keynote speaker for the evening
will be Brian Leaders, a regional planner with the National Parks Service in
Omaha, who will talk about trail development efforts in southwest Iowa and
their potential benefits to families and communities. A variety of vendors and trail-related
organizations will also showcase their contributions to recreational
trails.
There
will be informational displays, a bicycle show, and refreshments will be served
by the Sweet Joy Shoppe. By registering
at the door, adults and children can enter a drawing for door prizes, including
bicycles and biking accessories.
