Charity Ride
Distance - 7.5 family ride, 20, 35 or 50 mile loops.
Just north on I-29 from where RAGBRAI begins this, year, we offer 3 distances to accomodate all cyling ability levels and busy schedules. Choose from 20, 35 or 50 mile routes on paved roads, or take family-friendly crushed limestone trail through the Nature Preserve. Ride includes possible buffalo siting, sag wagons, aid station, sponsor stops, post-ride picnic and door prizes.
Wheeling is a fund raiser for Women Aware, a Sioux City, IA non-profit resource center that helps women achieve their maximum earning capacity through advocacy, education and referrals.
Route
The ride begins at Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve and continues north on paved county roads to three destinations: Jefferson, SD,Elk Point, SD or Burbank, SD. Routes loop back to the Preserve for a post ride picnic.
Families will have the option of the 7.5 miles of crushed limestone trails that offer wildlife viewing, open prairie, forest area and a view of the Missouri River.
