Just Plain Fun

Distance - 26 miles

26 mile circumnavigation of Council Bluffs 95% of which is on paved bike trails, remainder on hard surfaced roads. Only 2 hills, both moderate and reasonably short.

Route

Event starts and finishes at Christy Creme, 2853 North Broadway. Route goes north to Mynster Springs road, over the first hill to Big Lake Park, where trails begin. River Trail parallels Missouri River past the casinos, across the Historic Trails center and around Lake Manawa State Park to the Wabash Trace trailhead; the trail across highway 275 to the Iowa School for the Deaf trail and along the Valley View trail to Iowa Western Community College campus, back into town on Highway 6, up McKenzie Road and over the last hill to Christy Creme, where lunch will be provided.
