Training Ride [Overall]
Distance - 70-100 MILES APPROX
We ride to get in some miles, but we do take
breaks at little towns along the route. We are
not heavy drinkers, but have some adult
"beverages" and some food along the way.
We are just trying to get some miles in for
RAGBRAI, but anyone is welcome who likes to
ride. I simply guessed on the number of people
who will join us. We never know until we mount-up
and ride. I also guessed on the end time. As you
know, wind can help...OR NOT help... riding time.
Route
E Lincolnway to Cambridge, Nevada, Roland, Jewell,
Stratford, Boone, and back to Ames. If you
don't want to the full 100, there will be people
who will bike from Roland directly to Boone.
The place we meet is OOOPS on 702 Allen St in
Boone. It is near the Police Station. They have drinks and good food. We may even play a little cribbage at one of the
rest stops. So, if you have a small cribbage
board and cards, bring it along.
