Distance - 30 or 60 miles

ALL NEW ROUTES FEATURED!

Thee routes, including paved and gravel options ranging from 30 to 60 miles, are being offered through the beautiful northwest Iowa countryside for the ninth annual Wellness on Wheels Bicycle Ride (WOW9) on Saturday, June 8.

The routes will start this year at Country View Park in Sioux Center, Iowa. Welcome/aid stations with Gatorade, water and snacks will be located along each route to rejuvenate the riders before heading back out onto the road.

Early-bird ticket prices are $25 through Thursday, May 30. Prices increase $10 thereafter to $35 until the day of the event.

Proceeds from the event will support Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center. Promise is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving northwest Iowa. The nonprofit health center has a particular mission of reaching out to underserved individuals and families to provide them with affordable, high-quality care that they need and deserve, no matter their income, ethnic background or life situation. Promise provides medical, prenatal, dental, vision and behavioral health care, among other services.

Route

Three new routes are being offered this year.

• A 60-mile paved route will travel through scenic Sioux County through the communities of Rock Valley and Hawarden. The ride will depart at 6 a.m.
• A 30-mile gravel route will loop riders through rural Sioux County. The ride will depart at 8 a.m.
• A 30-mile paved route will travel to Rock Valley and back through the Sioux County countryside. The ride will depart at 8 a.m.
