Description
The PlyWood is a trail connecting communities in Plymouth and Woodbury counties including Le Mars, Merrill, Hinton and Sioux City. It is designed to be both a recreation and transportation corridor. Phase one construction is very close to commencing. Completion of the entire route will be dependent on funding. Backers have taken the innovative approach of routing most of the trail in existing rights of way to minimize land purchases required for completion. This will speed up the process of building the trail. Target completion date is 2025.
Location - Where is this Trail?
The PlyWood Trail will eventually connect the Le Mars Recreational Trail to the Sioux Falls trail system. It will run along US Highway 75 for the most part.
