The newest mural in Perry has been officially dedicated.
The Welcome to Perry mural was dedicated during a ceremony on Thursday, June 29 at the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead.
“We are truly fortunate to have this beautiful mural located on the trailhead. I know that it represents Perry well and it’s such a great place for the bikers to see as they come through Perry and for visitors as a whole,” Mayor John Andorf said.
Perry Economic Development worked with the Iowa Arts Council to secure a Creative Places Project Grant. PED matched funds from the grant and commissioned Shawn Palek to create the mural.
