A 64- year-old-man has now died after he was struck on his bicycle Wednesday afternoon just west of Bondurant.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office crews were called at 1:30pm on May 31st to the 7400 block of NE 64th Street.
Officials say the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on the bike path, crossing NE 64th Street, and the vehicle was traveling southbound when the accident happened.
64-year-old Gregory Hardy of Des Moines was taken to an area hospital by ambulance, but later died from his injuries.
