Fort Dodge police officers work at the intersection of Third Avenue South and 18th Street early Friday afternoon following a collision involving a minivan and a bicycle.
The man on the bicycle was taken to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Patrol Officer Timothy Hopwood said the bicycle was going south on 18th Street and ran into the side of the Chrysler minivan, which was westbound on Third Avenue South.
The crash happened at 12:20 p.m. The Fort Dodge police and fire departments responded.
