A pair of non-profits teamed up to give 24 new bikes to local children in foster care in Eastern Iowa Tuesday.
The bike presentation was held at the Families Helping Families of Iowa office in Southwest Cedar Rapids Tuesday evening.
The bikes were donated by the Geico Philanthropic Foundation, and put together by area Geico employees.
Iowa's News Now spoke with Families Helping Families' Executive Director Melissa Carlson, who explained why they gave away these bikes.
