IMT Insurance, through South O’Brien Insurance made a $250 donation for the proposed bike trail.
Earlier this year, a large grant opportunity from the state of Iowa was announced. Cindy Richter, Jill Rausch and Rita Kruger attended several city council, O’Brien County supervisors’ and O’Brien County Conservation meetings in an effort to organize all the pieces and cooperation needed to apply for the grant.
Although the grant was not awarded to this group, the long-term vision of a bicycle trail along the former rail bed in Paullina, and connections with the existing bike/walking trail have developed more vividly. The work continues.
