Davenport police are looking for the suspect responsible for firing at a group of young boys on their bicycles Thursday.
During a press conference Friday, police confirmed 12-year-old Devell Johnson Junior was killed by the gunfire.
Another juvenile was injured, but they have since been released from the hospital.
Police believe a car pulled up when the boys were riding bikes in an alley and opened fire.
An 18-year-old who was riding bikes with the victims has been taken into custody, but police say he isn't a suspect in the murder.
Investigators do not believe this was a random act of violence and are asking for the public's help in trying to solve the crime.
