Repair work began this spring on the RRVT bridge on the North Raccoon River near Jefferson. The bridge, over 100 years old and located 2.5 miles south of the Jefferson depot,was damaged by flood waters in 2019.

The project is anticipated to take two months to complete at a cost of $829,000.

A June 2021 re-opening is expected.Minor repairs on the trail north of Redfield will begin in late March or early April when weather permits.

Repair work is expected to take a week. Signs will be posted at trail heads when the repair work begins and is completed.
