H Avenue NE has reopened in Cedar Rapids after trail and pedestrian improvements.
The project stretched from the Cedar Lake Loop to Oakland Road.
This included a six-foot wide trail extension, on-street bike lanes, storm water drainage improvements, and ADA enhancements.
In November of 2020 the city will begin doing additional improvements in this area.
This will include new railroad crossing signals at the Canadian National Railroad crossing just east of I-380. A final section of sidewalk on the south side of H Avenue at the railroad crossing will be completed next spring.
