Members of the Le Mars RAGBRAI Advisory Board are gearing up for the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) July 19-25.
It was revealed at the end of January, that Le Mars was selected to be the host city for the start of the ride.
On Monday afternoon, RAGBRAI Director Dieter Drake met with advisory board members and took a tour of Le Mars.
“Right now it’s very high level,” Le Mars Convention & Visitors Bureau Director Jessica Brownmiller said of the initial meeting. “We discussed the timeline for what should be happening within the next couple of weeks. This was our first meeting, then we meet weekly for the next three weeks and then will travel to Des Moines on March 5, along with the rest of the host towns for an all day meeting.”
