The month of May is National Bike Safety Awareness Month and as the school year winds down and summer break is approaching, more bicycles are on the trails and streets.
On Saturday more than 150 Siouxland kids participated in a bike rodeo.
The Siouxland Cyclist, Iowa Bicycle Coalition and Opportunities Unlimited. joined forces to put on the event to teach children bicycle safety.
Participants had their helmets and bikes checked to make sure they're safe and working properly.
