Four-year-old Vicent Waterman of Akron had never ridden a bike before March.

Living with Septo-optic dysplasia, a rare congenital malformation syndrome resulted, in part, in blindness and did not allow for him to ride a standard bike.

A Plymouth County-based organization called Josh’s Ride stepped in to help. Waterman, alongside his dad Karlton Waterman, was surprised with an adaptive bicycle Friday, March 22.
