On 10-13-17 Sylvia was riding her bicycle to work when she was struck by a car in a 55mph zone. Right now she is in the University of Iowa Hospital SNICU and the prognosis is not good. She has a major brain bleed and is a comma that is not medically induced. More at GoFundMe Page

Local authorities were called to the scene of an accident in the early morning hours of Oct. 13 involving an automobile and a bicyclist.

According to a minimal crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, a 36-year old driver of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am struck a 19-year old riding a bicycle.

The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. Names of those involved in the accident remain withheld due to the pending investigation. The Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office, Wilton PD and Wilton Fire/EMS also assisted at the scene.
