UPDATE: Police say a 56-year-old woman rode her bike into a moving car.

Police say the woman fell and hit her head on the concrete causing a head injury.

Waterloo Police say the woman was transported to Iowa City for a brain bleed.

Waterloo Police are near West First Street and East Wellington for a cyclist who was hit by a driver.

Police were called to the area at 5:58 p.m. Sunday.

According to witnesses, the female bicyclist was riding in the area when she and the car collided.

Police say the girl was recently taken to the hospital and is suffering non-life threatening injuries.

Right now, police officers are busy taking pictures of items on the ground, the damaged bike, and the black car -which appears to be a newer Volkswagen.

This marks the second time in two days someone was hit by a car while riding their bicycle around dusk in Waterloo.

On Saturday around 7:00 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was also hit, but the driver left.

As a reminder, please use extra caution while riding, biking, walking or even driving this Halloween weekend.
