A bicyclist was clipped by a semi on G36 in Washington County Tuesday morning.According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 7:10 a.m. it was reported to dispatch that a man was lying on the side of the road, conscious and breathing along 220th Street, near Spruce Avenue, with a bicycle near him.

A second caller stopped and the man said he was “clipped” by a semi. The man was complaining of shoulder and leg pain. He was transported to the Washington County Hospital and Clinic emergency room by ambulance.

The suspected semi had a red cab and possibly an empty livestock trailer. Ainsworth QRS, Washington County Ambulance, and Washington County Sheriff’s personnel responded to the scene. The name of the individual has not been released.
