There's a new effort to make the recreational trails in the Cedar Valley safer for everyone while making it easier to navigate the more than 100-miles of trails.

Safety is always a priority, there was an assault on one of the trails last year.

A woman was jogging along George Wyth bike trail in Waterloo when someone assaulted her. Though the woman recovered, police believe she was left for dead.

Now, new way-finding signs will not only make riding the trails seamless, but also put you at ease as you'll know where you are at all times.

The last thing you're worried about is getting lost.

Not only will these way-finding signs help joggers and runners along the way, but also emergency responders at a time of need.
