In its 13th year, the IMG Des Moines Marathon has become a staple running event in the state. Record participation is expected with over 10,000 athletes participating in the full marathon, the half marathon or the 5k run.
The finish line area is always a popular place for spectators to gather. 2014 will be the first time the Marathon has offered bike valet parking.
The bike valet parking will be ran by the
Des Moines Bicycle Collectiveand will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on race day at the intersection of Court Avenue and East 1st Street.
