Jane Herke, theDirector of Parks and Recreation for Urbandale informed us this afternoon that theColby Woods Trail in Urbandale is now re-opened.

Jan said "We are excited to have this reconstruction project completed, and have this very popular trail reopened!"

I really like the newly rebuilt trail junction just north of Hickman Road that combines the local sidewalk and the trail bridge over the creek which used to be very difficult to safely navigate. The section of the trail just South of Hickman is going to be widened and resurfaced this fall starting Sept. 8 and lasting for about 2 weeks.
