Armed with a government grant and increasing usage, organizers of Des Moines B-cycle are planning to add three new bike rental stations and 10 to 15 new bikes next year.
The Des Moines Bicycle Collective, which operates the bike-sharing program, is considering three locations: at the east side of the Iowa Capitol building; at East Fourth and East Locust streets; and at 10th and Walnut streets.
The expansion will be paid for in part by a $125,000 Iowa Clean Air Attainment Program grant.
