Creating Great Places, as lead organizer of the Herndon to Coon Rapids Trail project, requests your support for a Trail Maintenance Fund, needed to move forward with the Herndon to Coon Rapids Trail just rejected by the Guthrie County Supervisors. On March 10th 1001, the new Guthrie County Board of Supervisors, by a vote of 3 to 2, reversed three previous board decisions, and CANCELLED an already-signed $365,000 federal grant to secure the trail corridor between Herndon and Coon Rapids. The Iowa Bicycle Coalition has launched an online petition to show decision makers that we want to ride the Guthrie County Trail and bring economic development along the way.
