A LITTLE LESS GUILTY
Feeling the guilt already? We all know how easy it is to pile on the gravy,
creamed corn, a heap of stuffing and mounds mashed potatoes this weekend. You
end up going back for seconds (or thirds) and then dive into the pies, fudge and
the pumpkin bread. I'm not going to tell you to hold back. Not a chance! This is
Thanksgiving and you gotta try everything at least once. But I will tell ya how
I am going to feel "A Little Less Guilty" this year. On Thanksgiving morning,
depending on the weather, I'll either lace up my running shoes, hiking boots or
my winter biking shoes and get outside for a little activity. While I'm out,
I'll think about how Thankful I am. I'm Thankful I can ride a bike and exercise,
I'm Thankful for a great family and friends. I'm Thankful for Iowa's Great
Cycling Community and the Trails we have. After an hour or two of
pre-gut-filling calorie burning physical activity, I'll feel "A Little Less
Guilty" as I reach for the gravy ladle.
BIKEIOWA and Crew wishes you and yours a Safe and "A Little Less Guilty" Happy
Thanksgiving!

2011 EVENTS
Over 750 events were posted for 2010. Amazing! Now is the time to get your 2011
event posted. The earlier they are posted, the most folks can view it and plan
their weekends. No worries if you don't know all the details now. You can edit
your event's details at anytime. Note, we are no longer calling it a "Ride"
Calendar. It's and "Event" Calendar because there are all sorts of
bicycle-friendly "events" that are not necessarily just a bike ride. Feel free
to list Destinations, Festivals, Gatherings, and other City and Town functions
this year. POST EVENT
