Central Iowa Trail Closures

A few trail updates over the last couple of days. the rain has taken it's toll once again. Bill Riley Trail From Ashworth pool, south on the paved trail, the water was just past the "Y" intersection over the railroad tracks. Under the trestle is under water Clive Greenbelt Work on the I 35/80 bridge over Walnut Creek in Clive may be a day or so ahead of schedule. Work continues on phase II of the project with an anticipated completion date of June 19th. Repairs to the Greenbelt Trail which passes under the bridge will begin soon after work on the bridge is completed. Officials are hopeful for a reopening of the trail sometime the week of June 28th. Trestle to Trestle Trail Have not heard closed due to water, but there is some of the trail that has started to break off by the river. High Trestle Trail Open Great Western Trail Open Chautauqua Trail Open Center Trails - (off road) I suspect that all of J11 is under water and have heard that Denmans has pooling water. Hillside is too wet as well. Wait a few more days. Summerset State Park - (off road) Banner is very wet. It rained hard in Indianola this morning. Every access has a large pool in the low spots and the inclines are muddy. Hopefully next week we can ride it again. Sycamore Access - (off road) Closed - very wet Got other updates? Post 'em here.
