Bicyclist injured in Mason City

A Mason City bicyclist was injured Tuesday morning when she was struck by a car near the intersection of North Washington Avenue and First Street Northwest.
According to the Mason City Police Department, Debra Grahm, 56, was crossing Washington Avenue when a car driven by a 32-year-old driver, also of Mason City, hit her in the crosswalk.
The accident was reported at 8:17 a.m. Tuesday.
The driver was eastbound on First Street when he attempted to make a right turn and hit the cyclist.
Grahm sustained minor injuries and went to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa by private vehicle for treatment, according to the police.
Her condition was not available prior to press time.
